In 1998, TRION and Fresenius closed a development collaboration on a selected number of Triomab® antibodies.
Within this cooperation, Fresenius Biotech owns global marketing rights for three compounds and is responsible for their clinical development, while TRION takes care of the initial design, process development and manufacturing of these compounds. TRION Pharma is actively involved in all development stages up to market approval and will receive royalties upon commercialization. To date, all three Triomab® compounds in joint development with Fresenius are in clinical trials. Removab®, the most advanced candidate, received EU market approval in 2009.
In addition to its collaboration partnership with Fresenius, TRION Pharma is closely working together with its sister company, TRION Research GmbH, on the development of additional Triomab® projects.
